In 2010, family, friends and Iowa Lakes Community College employees established the Jennifer Howard Memorial Scholarship. Jen was a former Iowa Lakes Laker Alternative High School instructor and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Requirements include full-time enrollment in Early Childhood Education, a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, and financial need as determined by FAFSA results.
The 2012-13 recipient is Lindsay Bonney of Spencer.
