Iowa State Bank of Algona established this scholarship in 2007 at Iowa Lakes Community College in support of the renewable energy industry. Eligibility requirements include full-time enrollment in Wind Energy and Turbine Technology or Biorenewable Fuels and a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference may be given to Kossuth County residents Awards are $1,250 and must be used for tuition, books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipients are Austin Fairchild of Terril, and Sean Heroneomus of Sheldon.
