Bertha and Delbert Hinsch of Estherville established the Gaarde-Hinsch scholarship at Iowa Lakes Community College in 1996. Their great love of music inspired the couple to award scholarships. Requirements are music participation and financial need by FAFSA results. Amount of award varies and must be used for tuition, books or fees.
