The Clyde and Grace Sanborn High School Junior Scholarship was established at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2005. Several $1,000 scholarships are awarded to high school juniors from Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth or Palo Alto counties with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA who are planning to enroll full time at Iowa Lakes Community College the fall semester following high school graduation. This is a competitive scholarship; application does not guarantee award. Award does not obligate recipients to attend Iowa Lakes Community College. Award must be used for tuition, books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipients are: Josue Araguz, Claire Christensen, Britany Busch, Shelby Christophel, Paige Guge, Bobbi Hansen, Evan Hansen, Kristen King, Curtis Klingbeil, Taylor Lappegard, and Maggie McCauley of Estherville; Jordan Buettner of Aryshire; Ashley Claus, Heaven French, and Jessica Orthman of Spencer; Brent Eaton and Makenzie Fay of Ruthven; Ben Huntley of Dolliver; Joel Kibbie and Tyler Leuer of Emmetsburg; and, Jannelle Logemann of Ledyard.
