The Alliant Energy Scholars program was established at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2004 by the Alliant Energy Foundation. Requirements include full-time enrollment in the Wind Energy and Turbine Technology program, financial need as determined by FAFSA results and minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Preference may be given to minority students or women in this non-traditional area of study.
The 2012-13 recipients are Austin Hansen of Correctionville, Austin Johnson of Spencer, and Reese Nelson of Buffalo Center.
