The Iowa Lakes Alert
System notifies the campus of
emergencies and threats to physical safety
in emergency situations: tornado, violence,
hazardous material incident, cancelled
classes, Iowa Lakes closure, etc.
Notification is by cell phone, landline
phone, e-mail and text message.

information, log in to
https://portal.blackboardconnected.com/8059201
and enter your Iowa Lakes e-mail address and
your ID Number (Students
use the last six digits of your social security
number. Employees use your Datatel employee
number.)
You're the only
person who can update this data. Please review
it carefully. |

IMPORTANT CALL DELIVERY NOTES: |
- When you receive a call from IOWA LAKES
ALERT, your caller ID will display
"712-360-5970." When you receive an IOWA
LAKES ALERT text message, your caller ID
will display "23177." You may wish to save
this number in your contact list as "IOWA
LAKES ALERT."
- The e-mail ID will be from "iowalakesalert@iowalakes.edu"
- When listening to a message, please be
aware that background noise will cause the
system to "stop and start." It is calibrated
very delicately to determine whether a
person or answering machine has picked up
the phone, and background noise may affect
the delivery. If possible, move to a quiet
area, or press the "mute" button on your
phone.
- If you
missed part of the message, stay on the line
and press "*" (star) to hear the message
again.
