REGISTRATION FOR REGULAR CREDIT PROGRAMS:

To register for credit classes:   

  1. Once you have been admitted to Iowa Lakes, you meet with your advisor and plan your program of study.

  2. Obtain a copy of the current semester’s course schedule.

  3. Fill out a Registration Form to schedule your credit classes.*

  4. Visit with the Financial Aid office, if you need financial assistance.

  5. Turn the Registration Form into the Business Office and pay your tuition and fees. You may also pay online.

You are now officially registered for classes.

You may register by coming to the appropriate campus during the summer Orientation and Registration Day to which all new freshmen and transfer students are invited, during one of the pre-registration days scheduled prior to the beginning of each term, or during the regular registration dates. 

*Registration forms are available from the Business Office on each campus or from your advisor.

 

REGISTRATION FOR eCOLLEGE ONLINE AA DEGREE 
(Iowa Community College Internet Consortium)

For information about eCollege and Online courses leading toward an AA degree, go to:  www.iowacconline.org .  This site provides general information about the Iowa Community College Internet Consortium  and lists courses available, syllabi, instructors, etc.

  1. Apply for admission to Iowa Lakes by completing the Application Form for Online Courses.

  2. Call 1-800-242-5106, ext. 7948 or email tzeigler@iowalakes.edu to register for eCollege Online courses.

REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE COMPUTER AND INTERNET COURSES

Visit  http://www.ed2go.com/iowalakes for information about these courses.

To register for “ed2go” online courses for credit:

  1. Complete the application form for Online Computer and Internet courses or in person at the Continuing Education office in Estherville, Iowa.

  2. Follow up the application with a phone call to Iowa Lakes Continuing Education office at 1-800-252-5664.

  3. You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration and further instructions.

To register for “ed2go” online courses for non-credit:

  1. Place a phone call to Iowa Lakes Continuing Education office at 1-800-252-5664.  Provide your name and address, the course name, number, and your credit card number.

  2. You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration and further instructions.

 

REGISTRATION FOR NON-CREDIT CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES:

Continuing Education courses are usually non-credit classes and are open to all persons regardless of their previous education.

  1. Call 1-800- 252-5664 or 712-362-7231 during business hours. 
  2. Give the name and/or number of the course you wish to take, along with your social security number.

CHANGE OF REGISTRATION:

If you decide to change classes, you must complete a Change of Registration form and submit it to the Business Office. You may add courses during the first two weeks of a term, with approval of the instructor and Director of Records and Registration. You may drop courses at any time prior to the last four weeks of a course in a regular term; after the first week of the term, a 'W' grade is recorded for any course a student drops.


WITHDRAWING FROM ALL CLASSES:

If for any reason you must drop out of college before the end of a term, you must complete a Change of Registration form. An exit interview should be completed. A refund of tuition may be made for withdrawals early in the term. After the first week of classes a 'W' grade will be assigned for each course.
